Together Celebrating the Sacred Feminine

Welcome to Sophia

Sophia Circle is a group of women committed to the awakened life. Like the lotus bud fully rooted in the human, ascending toward the Divine, opening its blossoms, opening its heart, opening, ever-opening to reveal its inner treasure, our commitment to the heart-centered way is sustained by the nourishing waters, the pooling reflections, the supporting embrace of like-minded company.

Our group has many gifts: intuition, inspiration, intelligence, clarity, creativity, exuberance, courage, resilience, loving kindness, healing hands, compassionate listening, the ability to gently brave the most grueling pain and to reverse the hardening march of life with the softening embrace of silence. In our Circle, strength, wisdom and generosity abound.

We are artists, poets, prophets, seers, healers, doctors, Yogis, mothers, sisters, friends. We have skills in Ayurveda, Acupuncture, Yoga, Reiki, Feng Shui, Massage, Water Therapy, Sound Therapy, Physical Therapy, Hawaiian Ha, Nutrition, Transformational Psychology, Emotional Healing, Cooking, Gardening, Laughter, Listening and Friendship. In our lives, in our work, in all that we do, we seek to be present, to remember love, and to cultivate the Divine Feminine, to share that light in our world.

We gather monthly in support of one another. In gathering, we find the needed sustenance to continue our service in the world.  In gathering, we recall our sacred bond, remember our sacred heart, return to the divine spark infinite and present within, renew ourselves with the healing waters of friendship and unity, and reclaim the Sophia, goddess of wisdom, what Thomas Merton called, “the cosmic bride of God.”

Dawn, from Hagia Sophia by Thomas Merton

There is in all things an invisible fecundity, a dimmed light, a meek namelessness, a hidden wholeness. This mysterious Unity and Integrity is Wisdom, the Mother of all.

There is in all things an inexhaustible sweetness and purity; a silence that is a fount of action and joy.

It rises up in wordless gentleness and flows out to me from the unseen roots of all created being,  welcoming me tenderly, saluting me with indescribable humility.

This is at once my own being, my own nature, and the Gift of my Creator’s Thought and Art within me, speaking as Hagia Sophia, speaking as my sister, Wisdom.

I am awakened. I am born again at the voice of this my Sister, sent to me from the depths of the divine fecundity.
